Everyday people are on a quest to make their lives easier, seeking shortcuts that will yield wanted results. Sometimes though, taking the long way proves more practical than the shortcut. This is the case with me.
For the greater part of my life, I have been overweight. Now thankfully, I am a full forty pounds lighter and to keep that weight off as well as loose more weight, I have been looking for ways I can avoid snacking all day when I have free time at home. During the week I spend my days out of the house; I usually wake up at 8AM, leave home at 9:45AM, return home at around 8:45PM and go to bed by 12:30PM; so there is very little free time. On the weekend, I have Saturdays and Sundays entirely free and i am always looking for ways to be out of the house for the same amount of time as during the week, to avoid being one on one with the fridge. However, I have come to realize that the best way to avoid over eating is to develop a disciplinary plan that will allow me to say no. In other words, I thought I should just shut up and do what has tobe done (or not done).
I have let you in on this fact about me, because just as with controlling eating, I have difficulty being a steady blogger. All of my other work tires me out and I’m left with no stamina when writing time comes, I then neglect to do anything, blame it on that and tell myself that I would leave it for the weekend and work all weekend long, of course that never happens. The truth though is that while it is best to work the brain after a well deserved rest, it is not impossible to do it right before. Considering where I want to go this blog, it makes perfect sense for me to give it as much as I want it to give me.
Is anyone out there experiencing something similar?
