The American Berlin Opera Foundation Scholarship
January 8th, 2008 | by Bloddard |The American Berlin Opera Foundation is holding a competition for aspiring American singers to study at the Deutsche Oper in Germany. The competition is for American citizens and permanent residents between the ages of eighteen and thirty who have completed their schooling and are starting their professional careers.
Winners receive $15,000 and round-trip plane fare to Berlin, Germany to start his or her training with the Deutsche Oper, from August to June. During the ten month trip, students will be offered roles in Deutsche Oper productions for which they will be paid. Applications are available on the foundation’s website, by requesting them via E-Mail or by writing to the address at the bottom. The application deadline is February 1, 2007.
