In a recent Metal Hammer interview, Nine Inch Nail‘s Trent Reznor mentioned that he does not care about MTV or the number of records he sells. The interview was a lot more substantial but these comments drew my attention because he has been, as far as I know, the only musician who does not put money before his music. Yes, money is a big part of it all (after all, there are bills and a crew to be paid) and I’m sure that he by no means would turn down a lucrative deal; but it is obvious that that is not the reason he goes out and performs. Metallica‘s ‘Sad But True’ has appeared on the MySpace page of Angher, a ‘Cello Metal’ band. Angher has a history that dates back to 2005 and has and interesting sound, reminiscent of Metallica’s S&M album, that consists of mixing guitar, with heavy cello sounds.
